La Virgen Del Rocío
La Virgen Del Rocío is celebrated the Monday following Pentecost Sunday (50 days after Holy Saturday of Holy Week).
This holiday has been celebrated since the end of the 13th Century, there are several elaborate processions in honor of La Virgen, called Santa Maria de Las Rocinas. It is one of the most famous Andalucian fiestas, laden with traditional costumes, fanfare on horseback, and a vast array of foods typical of the area, and spectacular to experience in Sevilla.
