** Playa el Playazo - Palm Trees and White Sand
Playa el Playazo is Nerja's longest beach, and because of that its characteristics change depending on where you are. On the eastern end, near Playa el Chucho, the beach is very natural and rocky. There are a few rustic chiringuitos but mostly there are few services.
On the western end of the beach, however, things change... Instead of dark sand and pebbles you will find smooth white sand. There is also a great little chiringuito / beach bar, Paraiso De Nerja Playa, on the western end that serves delicious tapas and rents sun beds by the hour or day.
Playa el Playazo tends to be much less crowded than Playa Burriana and Playa Calahonda and has a very tropical feel to it.
